We've moved in

but not unpacked yet. However, we're a lot closer than we were last week. All week was spent cleaning the other place. The only reason you shouldn't live in a very large house!

Saturday, Mum and Ian came over to prune some trees and shrubs (thanks!). Feeling a little naked but in a few months' time, the shrubs will be growing beautifully and giving us lovely privacy :) And we will gorge ourselves silly on mulberries!

We filled 2 x 6m3 skips and need another one at least. So many more shrubs and 'what plant is that???' to remove or trim.

I've found a dahlia, several roses (moving home themselves, off to Mum's), a brunsfelisa (yesterday, today and tomorrow)and more citrus than I thought we had.

One lemon has quite a lot of fruit, another lemon, possible mandarins or tangellos and an orange tree. One of the photos is of a large lizard who lives in the trunk of one citrus (possible mandarin). This poor tree is almost completely rotted but still producing fruit (that was sweet even when green according to mum) so we're not going to push it over yet. It also houses several large orchids, so more good reason to leave it.

I found a large spider sleeping in the orange tree, and a beautiful bug as well.
