Painting

Yesterday, we spent time over at the house and cut in the clothes room. Today, we'll roll it (Niccola is looking forward to this). We chose a blue with a touch of green.

It bucketed down (again!) and we discovered the box drain in the middle of the house doesn't work at all :( Upside is that room's floor is very clean. And only one small leak in the bullnose veranda.

We've got a colony of what I am hoping are marsupial mice (cos they're tiny). The girls may well take care of them.

There's a concreted vege patch already in the backyard, which Rob cleared. The littlest chick had a fun time scratching through it, with Honey the Guardian staying close. She didn't stop the maggie that was thinking Lucky would make a nice dinner though! Fortunately, our movements (Lucky is never far from us) was enough to chase the maggie off.

Then just cos we had some time and energy left, Rob and I started to dismantle the mess that is the acacia. Oh my gosh, it looks like something out of a magical/elf/fairy set! Photos today. Rob ended up attacking it with the mattock, as even sawing through each twisted branch couldn't break it up.
