Yes, I don't know what the painter of this room was thinking either! This is the most hideous colour ever! The stenciling is pretty, um, interesting as well.
The hot water system and wood stove are coming out, the front closed in (door will be on the right hand side) and made into a walk in pantry.
The stove will move around next to the lounge room door, a bench put in and the sink moved to where the stove is now. A new stove, not that one. A new sink as well - the current one is so tiny! We'll plum the tank into the sink - no more going outside to fill up water bottles.
The fridge and freezer may go in front of the newly made walls and we'll need either an island bench or something coming out from where the sink bench is. It's a challenge, that's for sure.
The photos make the kitchen look better than it really is.
